OKX Card is a debit card issued by OKX and linked to an OKX Pay account. It is virtual only and can be added to Apple Pay or Google Pay. Regular users earn 2% cashback, but the monthly cap is just US$5. Fees and risks are covered below in Before you apply.
What Is the OKX Card? Company Background
OKX is a cryptocurrency exchange. Its founder and CEO is Star Xu. In March 2026, ICE, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, announced a strategic investment in OKX and a board seat. In April 2025, OKX said its app had more than 100 million users; that same month it launched OKX Pay, initially supporting USDT and USDC.
OKX Card is a debit card, not a bank credit card. It connects directly to an OKX Pay account and spends from its balance. You can fund the account with USDG, USDC or USDT. The account is custodial, so the assets are held by OKX.

A virtual card is available to applicants in Taiwan. OKX’s website says physical cards are currently waitlist-only and are not being issued. To compare it with other cards, see Crypto card comparison.
OKX Card Cashback and Caps: From Regular Users to VIP 4+
Cashback depends on account tier. The default is regular user status. Card tiers follow OKX exchange VIP status, which is based on assets or 30-day trading volume; card spending does not upgrade your tier.
Only USDG purchases qualify for cashback; USDT and USDC do not. Cashback is paid in USDG to OKX Pay. Monthly caps follow calendar months in AST (UTC+3) and reset at the start of each month.
| Item | Regular user | VIP 1 | VIP 2 | VIP 3 | VIP 4+ |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Upgrade threshold | Default, free | US$100,000 in assets, or US$1 million in 30-day spot trading volume | US$200,000 in assets, or US$5 million in 30-day spot trading volume | US$2 million in assets, or US$10 million in 30-day spot trading volume | VIP 4: US$5 million in assets, or US$20 million in 30-day spot trading volume; higher VIP tiers also qualify |
| Cashback rate | 2% | 4% | 4.5% | 5% | 10% |
| Monthly cashback cap | US$5 | US$100 | US$200 | US$800 | US$800 |
| Spend to reach the cap, as shown by OKX | US$250 | US$2,500 | US$4,400 | US$16,000 | US$8,000 |
| Cashback currency | USDG | USDG | USDG | USDG | USDG |
| Issuance, annual and inactivity fees | €0 | €0 | €0 | €0 | €0 |
If you hold USDT, you can swap USD, USDT, USDC and USDG inside OKX Pay without a fee; convert to USDG before spending. Cashback is first calculated in local currency, then paid in USDG.
Twenty-seven merchant categories do not earn cashback. They include transfers, pawn shops, cash and ATM transactions, repayments, foreign exchange and crypto funding, securities, insurance, e-wallet top-ups, gambling, charity, tax and government services.
OKX also has a separate subscription rebate, with up to 5 USDG per month. It is available only to selected users; check eligibility on the card rewards page in the app. Eligible merchants include ChatGPT, Claude and Netflix. Set the card as the payment method, settle in USDG, and enter the card number on the merchant’s website for a monthly plan. In-app purchases and Apple billing do not qualify.

Before You Apply
- Low cashback: regular users earn at most US$5 per month, and only USDG purchases qualify. USDT and USDC purchases do not.
- Custody: assets stay in OKX Pay rather than your own wallet. On June 7, 2024, OKX was added to a warning list by Taiwan’s virtual asset service provider association for not completing its anti-money-laundering compliance declaration.
- No physical card: only virtual cards are issued, so you cannot withdraw cash with a physical card.
- Enter the promo code during signup: it cannot be added later. Existing OKX account holders cannot use it.

Using OKX Card in Taiwan
Little Penguin tested that the card can be applied for and used in Taiwan. OKX says the card supports Apple Pay and Google Pay for everyday payments. JKOPay cannot be linked because it accepts only credit cards issued by domestic partner banks.
The OKX Pay balance also has a yield promotion: up to 10% APY on the first US$10,000 in USDG, and 3.5% on the amount above that, paid every Monday. Taiwan is not on the exclusion list, and OKX can end the promotion at any time. For other yield products, read the OKX Earn guide.
