What is Solid? Company background

Solid was built by the Fuse team as its flagship consumer app. Launched in 2025, it is positioned as a non-custodial digital bank built on the Fuse chain. Solid is operated by Fuse Network Ltd, while the App Store publisher is Solid Superapp LLC, based in Wyoming, United States.

Solid is not the card issuer. Bridge issued the first card in 2025. Solid announced a partnership with Rain in April 2026 (Rain is a principal member of Visa), then added Wirex in September 2026 (Wirex has operated a card business since 2015). The system now assigns either Rain or Wirex based on your country of residence; you cannot choose. Solid continues to operate the app, wallet, savings and customer support.

The card is Visa Platinum. Assets stay in your own non-custodial wallet, and the card spends only from your Spendable balance; it does not directly access Wallet or Savings.

Solid rewards: Core, Prime and Ultra

Solid has three tiers. Core is the free default for all members; Prime and Ultra require a subscription fee or locking FUSE tokens. The reward rates and monthly caps are below. The cap includes base rewards and category rewards combined.

Category rewards apply only at specified merchants and require direct card payment. They replace the base reward rate and count toward the monthly cap. Purchases charged through PayPal, Google Play or the App Store earn only the base rate. The Prime subscription fee is automatically deducted from your Solid balance and renews automatically at the end of the term. It is non-refundable, except where required by law. Locked FUSE cannot be withdrawn, transferred, exchanged for another currency or spent during the 12-month lockup.

Rewards are paid in USDC about 14 days after a purchase settles, then automatically converted to soUSD in Savings (USDC that earns yield). Purchases involving ATMs or cash-like transactions, transfers, wallet top-ups, cryptocurrency, investments and insurance, gambling, government fees and taxes, donations, gift cards, game credits and professional services do not earn rewards. QR code payments to Alipay and WeChat Pay are also excluded.

Using Solid in Taiwan and Hong Kong

Taiwan and Hong Kong are both on the official list of supported locations; mainland China is not. Applications are based on residence, not nationality. You need proof of address from your country of residence and must complete verification there.

In Taiwan, Apple Pay and Google Pay are officially supported. JKoPay cannot be linked because it accepts only credit cards issued by domestic partner banks. The FX fee on TWD purchases is 1.5%, and there is no TWD deposit option, so top-ups use USDC or USDT.

In Hong Kong, the official Virtual Account (a US dollar bank account) is unavailable, and HKD is not on the local currency deposit list. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also officially supported. Compare tier designs with the Wirex One Card application guide and the Tria Card application guide.
