COCA is a self-custody USD and EUR account paired with a Visa debit card. Add stablecoins and spend with the card. Rewards depend on the amount of COCA you lock, not your monthly spending; Starter earns 1% without locking tokens. Compare it with other cards in the crypto card comparison. Fees and risks are covered below in What to know before applying.

What is COCA? Company background

COCA launched its wallet and debit card in partnership with Wirex in January 2024, with card issuance supported by Wirex infrastructure. In March 2025, it completed a strategic funding round led by the Stellar Development Foundation, with FunFair Ventures participating. Its current CEO is Vasili Paulau. In April 2026, the company said it had more than 1 million users.

COCA describes its app as “be your own bank”: a bank account, a crypto wallet, and rewards in one place. The account is a smart-contract wallet you control. Privy’s wallet infrastructure manages its keys, so you do not need to record a seed phrase.

The card runs on the Visa network and is a debit card. You can add funds with USDT, USDC, or EURC; direct top-ups with BTC or ETH are not supported.

COCA rewards: 6 tiers

Your tier is determined by the amount of COCA tokens you lock, not by monthly spending. Rewards are paid in USDC or EURC and remain pending for 14 days before they can be claimed. You can claim once every 24 hours, with a US$1 minimum. Rewards expire if you do not claim them within 12 months after they become available.

The “monthly claim limit” caps the total card and subscription rewards you can claim each month; it is not a cap on how much you can earn. Unclaimed rewards carry over, but still expire after 12 months. The table shows the standard lock-up amounts.

Leaving a tier requires a 30-day cooldown, during which you keep that tier’s benefits. After the cooldown, you can manually withdraw your COCA. Partial withdrawals are not allowed: you must exit the entire tier and return to Starter.

For each unlocked subscription category, the first eligible subscription settled each month receives a 50% rebate on the first US$70. Any amount above that, and later subscriptions in the same category, earn the tier reward rate. Subscription rebates also count toward the monthly claim limit. App Store and Google Play billing, as well as annual plans, count. Categories include:

  • AI assistants: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Midjourney, Cursor
  • Video streaming: Netflix, Disney+, Paramount+, YouTube
  • Music: Spotify
  • Shopping platforms: Amazon Prime, Mercado Libre, Meli+

Categories unlock by tier: Standard adds streaming; Standard+ and Premium add AI assistants; Premium+ adds music; Elite adds shopping platforms.

COCA fees

  • Card issuance: Virtual cards are free. Physical card prices are listed above. Ordering one also requires an initial top-up equivalent to €50 to cover shipping and production; the remainder stays in your card balance.
  • Annual fee: None.
  • Top-ups: COCA charges no fee; you pay only the blockchain network fee.
  • Foreign-currency fee: 0% for USD and EUR; 0.5% to 1.5% for other currencies.
  • ATM: No fee within the monthly free allowance; 2% above it.

See COCA fees in detail for the full fee list.

What to know before applying

  • Higher rewards require locking COCA tokens, whose price can rise or fall. Exiting takes 30 days and cancels the entire tier.
  • Monthly rewards you can claim are capped: US$15 at Starter and US$350 at Elite. Rewards expire if unclaimed for 12 months after becoming available.
  • Payments through PayPal, Alipay, WeChat Pay, Wise, Revolut, Skrill, Neteller, Cash App, and Venmo do not earn rewards. ATM withdrawals, cash advances, direct crypto purchases, gambling, and government or judicial payments are also excluded.
  • Exporting your private key is irreversible. After export, that key and wallet can no longer be used with COCA.

How to apply for a COCA Card (do you need an invite code?)

No. Our referral link takes you to registration; there is no invite-code field in the app.

  1. Open the referral link, download the COCA app, and register.
  2. In Banking, tap “Add product.” Choose your country of residence, not your nationality.
  3. Complete KYC with a passport, national ID, or driver’s license, plus proof of address (a bank document, utility bill from the last 6 months, government document, lease, or employer letter). It usually takes under 20 minutes; check progress on the Cards page.
  4. Once approved, the virtual card is ready to use. For a physical card, first add the equivalent of €50. When its status changes to “Delivering,” wait for delivery, tap “Activate card,” and enter the card details.
  5. Add funds with USDT, USDC, or EURC. For help choosing a network, see the blockchain transfer SOP; for stablecoin basics, see the stablecoin storage guide.

Availability and using the card in Taiwan and Hong Kong

COCA’s card and rewards are available to residents of 73 countries, including Taiwan and Hong Kong. The tiers, fees, rewards, and application steps are the same in both places. Residents of Taiwan can order a physical card. EUR bank accounts (IBANs) are available only to residents of 28 European countries, so Taiwan and Hong Kong residents are not eligible; rewards can still be received in a USD or EUR account.

The card officially supports Apple Pay and Google Pay. In Taiwan, JKOPay cannot be linked because it accepts cards only from its domestic partner banks. ChatGPT and Claude can both be paid for with this card and are listed in the official 50% subscription-rebate categories.
